Oval Farmers’ Market to re-open at Montgomery Hall Gardens, SE11 5SW, on 23rd May with Strict Social Distancing in place

We’re pleased to announce we are re-opening Oval Farmers’ Market from Saturday, 23rd May. We have temporarily moved the market to the gardens at Montgomery Hall just 5 minutes away from the original venue. We have received many enquiries from customers and stallholders asking when we would re-open so we have put in place our plan to do just that. Rest assured we will have the following strict social distancing measures in place, similar to supermarkets and other food shops which have remained open.

• We have employed extra staff to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to.
• All staff will have face masks, gloves & hand sanitiser, as will our stallholders.

• Only 30 customers will be permitted in the market at any one time – once this number is reached there will be a one in, one out policy in place.
• A maximum of 25 food only stalls will be present.
• There will be NO coffee/hot drinks stalls.
• Any customers queuing for stalls or outside the market will be distanced at 2 metre intervals which will be marked out – our staff will enforce this.
• We would advise customers to make payment via card wherever possible.
• Between 10am and 11am we will have priority shopping times for NHS workers and the elderly/vulnerable.
